“You Belong Here” Connects Job Seekers with Broadcast Careers Across the Country

There’s never been a better time to start a career in broadcasting. From HR and sales to engineering and creative design, there are opportunities in front of, and behind, the mic and camera, with the opportunities for advancement and meaningful social impact that today’s job seekers are looking for. Broadcasting supports 2.42 million jobs in all 50 states.

Finding qualified candidates to fill these varied and important jobs is an ongoing challenge. This is due in large part to a lack of knowledge about opportunities in television and radio.

To help broadcasters meet this challenge, NAB and the NAB Leadership Foundation have launched the “You Belong Here campaign. This campaign is designed to expose individuals to the myriad of careers available in our industry, educating job seekers about the broadcast industry’s opportunities and matching them to the positions that fit their skills, needs and experience.

The campaign provides a digital toolkit for stations that includes a 30-second spec spot, long-form video for classrooms and job fairs, social media tiles and messaging that highlights how stations across the country seek new talent with a variety of skills.   The campaign also promotes thousands of jobs posted on the Foundation’s Broadcast Career Link website.

By educating and engaging job seekers at every point of their process, we hope to grow the pool of qualified, enthusiastic candidates available for broadcast companies.

The NAB Leadership Foundation also provides programs to train and educate leaders from students to station owners. Celebrating 30 years in 2024, the Foundation has helped more than 1,500 participants establish and grow their broadcast careers.

Working together, NAB and the Foundation are committed to helping the broadcast industry build the passionate, diverse workforce it needs in the future, with tools for both companies and individuals. Learn more at You Belong Here.
